Pumpkinism
is a very real, and very controversial issue. Simply put, it is the belief that squash fruits (most notably the pumpkin), are intrinsically inferior to other forms of biological life. If one looks hard enough, it can be seen throughout the year, although a root-vegetable lobbyist group attempts to shield this from public knowledge through its vice-like grip upon both major media outlets and the worldwide federation of greengrocers (WFG). Once a year though, at Halloween, pumpkinism can be observed worldwide, by people from all walks of life. And it makes me sick.
